Knowing that you could go anywhere in the world in the next six months, where would you go?

Most of the time people make decisions about their travel destinations based on factors like their budget or distance, and when faced with the question where would they go if there were no such factors in play, many of them have a problem to decide because of so many options.  Whether you like to go solo, or you have a traveling partner by your side, I know that choosing a destination sometimes can seem impossible. First world problems, right?

Missouri

Missouri

Missouri

So, the USA is without a doubt one of the best countries that you could visit since it’s so vast you could spend years there, and still not explore it properly.  But I’m sure you didn’t expect that from all the famous places I would choose Missouri, right? There are lots of places in States that get more credit than they should, but Missouri is definitely not one of them. It’s an underrated state that I think you should definitely check out.

Missouri is a state where you’ll find amazing natural beauty in every direction. If you are an outdoor person, you will be excited about all the outdoors activities you can do there from hiking, fishing, sailing, kayaking to paddle-boarding.

You can get a beaaautiful hotel near Mark Twain National Forest, and go exploring the naturalistic national forest for hours. It would be a perfect base for exploring other areas of the state as well, including some of the fabulous restaurants that they have. You definitely would leave this state with a bulging belly! Whilst you’re there, don’t forget to visit the City Museum which is known as one of „great public spaces“ that has won many international awards as a must-see destination.

Rome

Rome

Rome

„All roads lead to Rome“, a saying from the time of the Roman Empire is well alive and accurate even today. Rome is one of the most romantic and history filled parts of the world that you could go to. There’s so much to see and do there, including the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, and the Vatican City to name but a few. For me, what stands out the most here is the flow of life. It’s so easy for you to just walk between the different historical sites, and it barely feels like you’ve been walking at all. It’s such a relaxed vibe, and I really do love that about Rome.

If you are into art, history and architecture, I really can’t think of the better place to visit. One warning is that it can get expensive due to the food and drinks, but boy are the food and drinks worth it.

Santorini

Santorini

Santorini

Possibly the most picturesque and Instagram worthy place you can imagine.  When you think about Santorini, you should think about the white buildings with the blue tops, unreal blue sea, and plenty of rustic Greek restaurants. Perfect destination for all the hedonists out there as Santorini is there to please all your senses and spoil you to the core.

One piece of advise is that you visit Santorini just slightly out of the season so you don’t have to fight your way through the crowds. Believe me, your experience will be much better and you will enjoy this beautiful place the way you both deserve!
